Karl and Marilouise are facilitating another marriage enrichment event from 6:30-8pm on Friday, November 9th, – entitled, “I See You.”
We’ll have conversations on our greatest desire and greatest fear – to be known! It’s about the risks and work it takes to get to know each other. We’ll use quotes from Pastor Timothy Keller’s book, “The Meaning of Marriage” to guide our conversation. Consider this example:
“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.”
This is a free workshop for PELC parents and people of Peace; the third of four monthly events! Karl is a pastor with a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and a doctorate in leadership. Marilouise is a Physical Therapist with a love for health and wellness. They have three children and ten grandchildren.
A light dinner will be served for the whole family from 6-6:30p (freewill donation). Children age 3 through 4th grade will have their own activities and child care will be provided for birth through 2 yrs.
Pre-registration is required. Please sign up on the sheet on the board in the church lobby or by the entrance to our Early Learning Center.
