What Child Is This? Our Christmas Cantata, “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” & Cookie Exchange

Okay…Advent has been answering the above question, “What child is this?” in developmental sequence. We began where God first knew us – in eternity! With the plan established in forever, Jesus left his High Place and became the focus of God’s Plan to enter time and space to redeem us from its fallen consequences (ourselves).

Configured with the massive information found in DNA, conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit, nurtured as an embryo in the depth of Mom, and fed by the fascinating structure of the placenta and umbilical cords, Jesus became subject to the biology he created!

It’s called submission to God’s will; surrender to God’s Plan. I’ve never ever used this simile before, “Grace is like an umbilical cord…” but convinced of its truth, will do so this week!

Our annual choir cantata called “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” is a musical expansion of the ways the name of the Lord can be praised! You’ll be blessed in the hearing, the singing and the praise of it all!

It’s a great Advent Sunday ahead:

9:00AM Coffee with Pastor Karl and conversation regarding the theology and science of the Bethlehem star

10:00AM Worship with the Rhapsody in Bluegrass cantata

11:00AM Cookie Exchange!

See you Sunday, Good Lord willing,

Karl
