How To Form A Small Group
There are three ways to start a small group.
- Gather existing friends and let us know at info@peacelutherannaples.org and pastorkarl@peacelutherannaples.org.
- Submit your name to Mark Greul directly via text to (239)770-7873 or email greul@me.com and ask for a Peace Home Church suitable given time or location.
- Start a community-based group in your location. Our vision for Peace Home Church is to grow to have a presence in every community on Immokalee from I75 to Ave Maria (East on Oil Well). As God designs, we hope to grow each Peace Home Church to be a satellite of Peace herself!
- Goal: To Serve the following Communities: Orange Blossom, Waterways, Twin Eagles, Heritage Bay, The Quarry, Esplanade, Indigo Lakes, La Morada, Saturnia Lakes, Riverstone, Stone Creek, Heritage Green, TGM Communities (Malibu Lakes & Bermuda Isles).
Small Group Facilitator Training
Basically, Peace Home Church material is from the weekly sermon preached by Pastor Karl. Each week he brings the Word of God to bear on daily life with a view toward eternity. Each sermon is posted on this web site for discussion consideration. Essentially Peace Home Church facilitators do just that – “facilitate” group discussion. The purpose is to share how God’s Word is impacting each individual; what questions arise; what action God is calling you to take.
So… common courtesies to allow everyone opportunity for input as well as providing a “safe space” for confidential conversation are the only “rules” for discussion. However, in order to provide further training if so desired, follow this link to “The Basics of Facilitating” from the Small Groups web site. Here you’ll also find other great resources (some for free and some for a small fee) about the importance and benefits of small group life in congregations.
