While I’m not a “new year’s resolution kinda guy” I’m confident God’s intention and design is to constantly renew – to make all things new! (Revelation 21.5) With that Spirit, welcome to a new year and a new you!
Here’s what’s new:
- New worship times at 9AM and 11AM! From now through Easter, we’ll celebrate worship at two (nearly) identical services!
- New worship series, “The Love Paradox.” This is the book I authored as a culmination of my doctoral work. Because I’m aware it can be awkward selling a book on which I profit, there are three non-profit pricing options for you to choose:
- $10, with $5 to go to missions and outreach
- $5 which covers the author’s cost
- $Free just to put this message in your hands
- Mark Greul, Elder and Christian Education Chair will have them available. (If you’d like a signed copy, I will be happy to oblige.)
- New Parenting Class/Bible study that will meet on Wednesdays at 9:15am to review the book, “Parenting 14 Gospel Principles.” It will be led by Liz Sanchez, a mom of three young boys (which makes her an expert in the field, no question!) Press the blue “Info” button on the front page of org for more details.
- New “Family Enrichment Experience” on Friday Jan 11th at 6PM entitled, “The Pleasure is Mine.” On the second Friday of each month through May, Marilouise and I will arrange to have your children watched for 90 minutes while we discuss the pleasures of marriage! (Press the blue “Info” button on the front page of org for more details.)
- New season for our “Peace Home Churches.” These small groups meet in the communities around us, and here at Peace. For the next six weeks the recommended reading will be “The Love Paradox.” Press the blue “Info” button on the front page of org for more details. The goal is to have a Peace Home Church presence in each community around us.
- New Women’s Bible Study group discussing the book, “The Armor of God” This will be led by Marilouise Galik and provide God’s provision for growing deeper into his Word! It meets on Monday mornings at 10 and Tuesday evenings at 6:30. Press the blue “Info” button on the front page of org for more details.
Our vision at Peace is that “Every relationship experiences God’s Power and Peace.” It is my prayer this new season God’s Word renews you with the Power of his love and the Peace that emanates from the resurrection.
See you Sunday in one of two worship services, Good Lord willing,
Karl
