This Sunday is about introducing new things! A new worship series; a new child of God introduced to the waters of Baptism and a new guest Master Musician to bring sacred song into worship.
“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” – John (20.31) Here’s the purpose of the Gospel of John and the central purpose of our new worship series, “I AM Jesus.”
At the heart of the matter is John’s promise that “by believing you may of life in his name.” We’ll ask central-to-life questions like “Are you full of life?” How do you know? What’s it like? What’s it got to do with the “I AMs” of Jesus? You’ll leave with Gospel fullness and great freedom in knowing the life God has for you…you’ll discover that who Jesus is defines who you are!
Tyler Beers, whose sister Heidi attends our Early Learning Center, will be brought to baptismal waters that he might grow as a child of God into the life the Lord has gifted for him! Welcome the Beers family to the hospitality of Peace! We’ll receive him at the 9AM service.
Lastly, Master Musician and professional saxophonist, Erinn Abu, will bring his gift of music to the worshiping community at Peace. How did he find his way to Peace? All I can tell you is it seems the Lord sent him. I’ve been praying and searching for ways to expand the musical worship offerings at Peace and he turned into our driveway instead of driving on by. His schedule opened up sooner than later and here we are. Worship will resemble a more “cantata-style” in that his musical witness will carry a significant portion of worship.
In-between worship our Head Elder, Tony, is cooking up a breakfast/brunch around which to fellowship and share God’s grace. Erinn Abu will be available for conversation as well as make some of his CD’s available for purchase; as well as promoting other concert dates in the area.
