“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…” – St Paul (Ephesians 2.10)
“So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” – James (2.17)
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” – Jesus (Matthew 7.21)

“The problem with lethargy is that doing nothing validates the fear that nothing can be done.” – Bill Crawford, Comedian
The key objective for the message on Sunday – to be encouraged to win the fight against spiritual lethargy! There’s a million reason not to get out of the boat, maybe more! There’s maybe only one Reason to leap.
That reason to leap is the Holy Spirit!
It is He who stirs our spirit to life; He who supplies the Deep Breath of Inspiration to engage the good works prepared beforehand for us to do!
It’s Pentecost Sunday, the birthday of the church! The Holy Spirit moved frightened disciples from within locked rooms to bold proclaimers in city squares. The Book of Acts (not the book of “I’ll Think About It”) details the Gospel spreading like wildfire! Lethargy evaporated. Energy filled the vacuum!
How is your faith being exercised?
“Every Child Blessed” (our new vision) will require your good works, your energy because, although the Book of Acts is complete – the story of the Holy Spirit working through God’s people continues…
Let’s get out of the boat!
