Becoming a Disciple

Becoming a Disciple

Welcome to Peace Lutheran Church                                                                                                      (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod)

Why attend Peace church?

In two words, “the Gospel!” Peace is centered and anchored to the Truth of Jesus – that His crucifixion and resurrection were for our salvation! This we believe!

You’ll be inspired by God’s Word applied to real life. Visit our web site, PeaceNaples.org and listen to past messages, or press the “God Connects” button for a summary of what we believe.

Why get involved at Peace?

Become involved to be blessed. The blessing the Lord provides leads you to God’s abundance of grace.

Become involved to be a blessing.  From simply serving others at fellowship events, to set aside times of prayer, you will be given an opportunity to lead others to God’s abundance in many ways! In God’s ways, you’ll be blessed, to be a blessing

Become involved to be a part of something big

Our vision, “Connecting People To Jesus” is rooted in Jesus’ calling, “Unless you receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, you will not enter it!” (Mark 10:15) Encouraging adults to receive God’s gifts like children is a large calling taking up a lifetime

Why contribute to the vision of Peace?

Do your part to keep the lights on. At the most basic level, your financial contributions keep the A/C and lights on. It’s not our highest calling – but it is necessary!

Invest in the lives of children and families. Higher yet, is the calling to know you’re investing in children and families that wrestle with the temptations and distractions of today’s world. Your tithes and offerings turn into staffing and educational resources to reach children and their families

Receive the joy and satisfaction that comes with living generously

Have you ever noticed how living generously is its own blessing?  Generous people tend to live with greater trust in God’s provision!

Why become a member of Peace church?

Official membership begins with a desire to help pursue the vision.  Our calling is clear, and if you sense God’s Call to add your precious resource of time, talent and treasures, we’re glad to partner together

Membership allows casting an official vote.

If you’d like to influence our effectiveness, and add your thoughts to the discussions and congregational decision making, consider yourself invited to participate!

Membership provides opportunity for you to express a high level of commitment to both the mission and the institution that we call the church!

Associate members maintain their membership at their home church and consider Peace their church when they are in Southwest Florida.

Should you chose, there are four ways to become a member:

  • By transfer from a congregation of the LCMS
  • By affirmation of faith for those who are confirmed in the Lutheran Church.
  • By Adult Confirmation. These classes meet for 6 two-hour sessions explaining what we believe, teach, and confess as Lutherans. We usually have two or three classes during the year.
  • By Youth Confirmation. This is a 2 year experience starting in 7th grade

If you wish to explore membership, please talk with our Pastor.
